Ce que vous apprendrez:

  • Comment évaluer l’anatomie normale des sinus paranasaux qui entourent la cavité nasale
  • Reconnaître les variants anatomiques sur les radiographies panoramiques ainsi que sur le 3D
  • Évaluer la qualité des voies de drainages de chacun des sinus paranasaux
  • Reconnaitre les pathologies les plus communes associées aux sinus paranasaux et à la fosse nasale

Parce que les sinus paranasaux sont souvent images lors de radiographie 2D et 3d, ce cours s’adressera aux changements pathologiques les plus souvent rencontrés dans ces cavités. De plus, avec la popularité croissante du CBCT, il est important pour le dentiste d’inclure ces structures dans le rapport radiologique et dans le dossier dentaire. L’anatomie de ces sinus sera revisitée ainsi que les changement inflammatoires, changements bénins et changement malins. 3 crédits d’éducations continue seront aussi offerts aux participants.

Le sinus maxillaire est en contact direct avec le complexe alvéolo-dentaire par l’intermédiaire des deuxièmes prémolaires, premières et deuxièmes molaires supérieures. Cette structure anatomique importante est souvent visualisée lors des examens dentaires de routine, sur les radiographies péri-apicales, les radiographies panoramiques et sur les volumes tri-dimensionnels. Il est donc important pour le dentiste de savoir reconnaître les changements radiologiques qui lui sont rattachés. De plus, les sinusites d’origine dentaire comptent pour environ 10% des sinusites maxillaire, il est primordial pour le dentiste de savoir différencier un problème d’origine dentaire versus une pathologie du complexe sinusal.

Dr. Archambault received a Certificate in Implant Dentistry from NYU. She received her dental degree from Laval University and did a Certificate in Microbiology at that same university. She also received extensive TMJ training in Austria at Danube University.
